Environmental Responsibility
We donate 10 saplings for every baby born to our employees. Within this scope, we have donated 210 saplings since 2022. In 2025, we plan to launch the TGL memorial forest project, with the aim of creating a very large forest.
In our driver training, we provide information about the fire hazards that may occur on forest roads along our routes and explain the actions that can be taken to protect forests. At TET Global Logistics, when large-scale forest fires occur, we assign our tankers and drivers to carry water to the fire zones in a spirit of national mobilisation. In summer 2023, we actively supported the firefighting efforts with many vehicles in all the forest fires in the Aegean Region, and we continue to offer our support in case of possible dangers.
We use innovative technologies to minimise our carbon footprint and develop solutions that increase energy efficiency. To reduce our environmental impact, we prefer electric hybrid technology in the passenger cars purchased for our company. In our core business of transportation, we work for sustainability in every area by switching our tractor units, trucks and eight-wheelers to Euro 6 engine technology, which runs with 94% lower carbon emissions and saves fuel.
In addition, we contribute to our sustainability targets by using tyres (Prometeon) on all vehicles in our fleet that support sustainability from the production stage, are produced with lower carbon emissions and save fuel on the vehicle they are used on.
As a result, comparing 2022 and 2023, we reduced the average fuel consumption of our transport fleet by 8%. Although the total distance covered by our fleet increased by 26.13%, we limited our total carbon emissions to 18.16%. By increasing energy efficiency in our transport network and prioritising low-emission transport methods, we reduced our carbon emission rates despite the significant growth in distance travelled.
In 2025, we aim to start using renewable clean energy (solar) sources at our warehouses and facilities so that part of our energy consumption is met from sustainable sources.
In tanker transportation, we plan our operational choices so as to reduce the amount of water used in tanker cleaning processes. In addition, by replacing the cleaning heads (Butterworth) used at the cleaning facility with new-technology heads, we reduced average water consumption per cleaning from 0.66 tonnes to 0.48 tonnes between 2022 and 2023, achieving a total reduction of 28.07% and reducing our water footprint.
We cooperate with universities and academics on process and facility design so that the wastewater generated is treated to a quality that allows it to be reused as cleaning water and the recovered water is used in the cleaning process, thereby minimising our water footprint entirely.

Women taking a greater part in business life also allows us to offer a broader perspective in our social responsibility projects. The first female truck driver joining the TGL fleet in 2023 also shows how we look at this area from another angle and brings us success in gender equality.
